peoples to better understand their own and other’s behavior

It mainly deals with three things

Understanding interpersonal relationships

1) Analysis of Self Awareness
a.
The self awareness
can easily be defined as the behavior & attitude that can be known & unknown
to self and known & unknown to others

States
a.
Peoples interacts
with each other in terms of different behavior patterns known as Ego states
b.
Ego states are the
person’s way of thinking, feeling and behaving at any time.

The ego states can

a.
The heart of this
analysis is the study of exchange between two persons
b.
It helps t
determine that which ego state is most heavily influencing the behavior of us
and of other person
c.
And depending on
the ego state the transaction can be of 3 types
i. Complementary
Transaction (Both people are operating from same ego
state)
ii. Crossed Transaction
(Sender sends his message in his ego state
but get the response in unexpected different ego state)
iii. Ulterior
Transaction (two ego states between the same person but
one disguises the other one)

Script Analysis
a. A script is an ongoing Programme that is developed in
early childhood under parental influence
b. In script analysis a person’s life is compared to a play
and the script is the text of the play
c. A script of a person’s life the
i. Complete plan of living
ii. Offering permissions
iii. & Structure of life which makes one winner or loser
in life

a. It helps us to make assumptions about self and other
person’s life position and can be of 4 types
i. Ideal life position
(I am OK, you are OK)
ii. Psychological
position (I am Ok, you are not OK)
iii. Powerless feeling
position (I am not OK, you are Ok)
iv. Miserable position (I am not Ok, you are not OK)

Stroking
a. It can be defined as the method of “giving some kind of
recognition to others”
b. People need strokes for their sense of survival and well
being on the job
c. It can b classified into 3 categories
i. Positive stroke
